After serving in Senegal from 2009 - 2012, Emilie moved to Sacramento in 2018 to continue her career as a Public Health researcher, specializing in nutrition and food systems program evaluation. Before moving to Sacramento, she earned her MPH in Global Health and Public Nutrition from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Emilie enjoys biking around the city of Sacramento to see its many murals and watching cartoons with her kitties.

Nancy Sinnwell served in Cote d’Ivoire, West Africa as a teacher of English as a
foreign language. She stayed for a third year to help her high school students
be successful in their final exam. After teaching middle school in Michigan for six
years and elementary school in Sacramento for 33 years, she retired and has
been a guest teacher for the last eight years. For over 40 years she has been a
volunteer at the local hospital. She is currently the secretary of the
Sacramento Valley Returned Peace Corps Volunteers to which she has been a
member since it formed in the 1980s. Nancy is also the Activities Director for
Friendship Force Sacramento. This group travels to various places in the world
and lives with a family for a week. Families from different countries also live
with the group’s members when they visit the USA. She enjoys traveling,
theater, movies, swimming, and hiking.

Quinn is originally from Northern California. He's both an AmeriCorps alum and Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, having served in the Republic of Moldova. Quinn holds a BS in Public Management from Plymouth State University in New Hampshire and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Southern California. Quinn currently works as the Community Relations Specialist with AmeriCorps NCCC. His duties include recruitment, engaging elected officials, and building public and private partnerships. In his free time, Quinn enjoys hiking with his dog, listening to podcasts, and spending time with friends.

Fran recently retired from a career in public health, managing social service programs, assisted living, and affordable housing communities. Along the way, she served two tours in Peace Corps in Jamaica (1970-72) and Benin (2012-14.) Fran is a cat lover and enjoys fostering kittens with Yolo County Animal Services. Her home studio houses the doll hospital “Fran’s Doll Care and Repair” where she repairs all kinds of dolls, new and old. Fran is a member of the Washington Commons co-housing community, developing a new building in historic West Sacramento.
